Valentine’s day

今日はバレンタイン(デー)ですね ♡。
Today is Valentine’s day.

In Japan, women will send chocolates to coworkers / friends for appreciations (義理(ぎり)チョコ、友チョコ) and person they like (本命チョコ). If you buy chocolates for yourself, it’s called 自己チョコ. If a man gives someone chocolate on Valentine’s day, then it’s called 逆チョコ.

3/14 is called ホワイトデー. When it snow, it becomes ホワイトホワイトデー.
