Sushi

It is shameful to say I’ve finally tried Sushi in Japan, alone. But surely I ate sushi before.

The truth is I have been avoiding going to certain type of sushi restaurant, e.g. Kaiten sushi (Conveyor belt sushi). I think they are the fast food of Sushi. It is my mistakes I did not work from the bottom to top. I tried the Omakase sushi1 first. Kaiten sushi looks not very appealing after that. Not they are bad, is I had the best and it is hard to go back.

I’ve tried to keep myself to only go to Omakase sushi, not because I’m picky. But I am getting less interested to eat food just because I need to eat food. Also less interested eating food that has no soul. Also feels bad those fishes poorly prepared. I am interested in food that I know people put efforts making them.

But I cannot possibly eat Omakase every time when I want to eat Sushi. There is something in between, which I would casually go now is something like: Sushi no Midori. They’re decent. They win by price with reasonable quality.

I found how you should order is to: Tried some of the grilled pieces. The white fish or in general the piece without strong features (Lean Tuna v.s. fatty Tune) requires dedications of work that only in good places could present them well.
